RestartWorks is a self-directed personal development platform. It provides AI-generated coaching-style conversations, tools, and resources to help you work through personal challenges in areas like habits, productivity, finances, relationships, health, career, and purpose.
By using RestartWorks, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and all disclaimers on this page.

You acknowledge that the coaching experience in RestartWorks is delivered by Slate, an artificial intelligence coaching persona — not by a human, and not by David Killion personally. Slate is explicitly AI and will identify itself as such if asked. Slate is built on a coaching framework, philosophy, and knowledgebase authored by David Killion, and operates under strict guidelines designed to keep its responses aligned with that framework. However, Slate is artificial intelligence, and artificial intelligence can and does make mistakes. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, internally inconsistent, may deviate from its guidelines, or may simply be wrong. You should not treat any output from Slate as a statement of fact, a professional opinion, or a recommendation to act.
You are solely responsible for evaluating the accuracy and appropriateness of any content generated by Slate and for any action you take or do not take in reliance on it.
Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to use RestartWorks. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.
Account Security: You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Do not share your login with others. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Subscription Plans: RestartWorks offers both free and paid subscription tiers. Pricing is displayed at signup and may change with notice.
Billing: Paid subscriptions are billed in advance (monthly or annually, depending on your plan). Payment is processed via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method.
Cancellation and Refunds: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will not be charged again, but you will retain access until the period ends.
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except as required by law or at our sole discretion. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at dave@thekillions.com.
You Own Your Data: Everything you input into RestartWorks — your messages, journal entries, goals, and other personal content — belongs to you. We claim no ownership rights over it.

RestartWorks — including the platform, design, branding, AI prompts, frameworks, and all non-user-generated content — is owned by Discovery Coaching, LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may use RestartWorks for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from RestartWorks content without our written permission.
We do not warrant that:
Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Discovery Coaching, LLC, its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of RestartWorks, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no event will our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months prior to the event giving rise to liability, or $100, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for certain types of damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.

This Privacy Policy applies to RestartWorks and all related applications operated by Discovery Coaching, LLC, including FIRE (fire.restart.coach) and other tools within the RestartWorks ecosystem (collectively, the "Services"). No Liability for Data Breach: To the fullest extent permitted by law, you acknowledge and agree that Discovery Coaching, LLC, David Killion, and their respective officers, employees, contractors, agents, and affiliates (the "Released Parties") will not be liable for any unauthorized access to, acquisition of, disclosure of, alteration of, loss of, or use of your information — including any sensitive personal or financial information — resulting from any security incident, data breach, hacking, intrusion, system failure, or act of any third party, whether or not such event was foreseeable, and even if a Released Party was advised of the possibility of such an event. You release and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of or related to any such event, except to the extent such liability cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

Do Not Track: We do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.
Children: The Services are not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn we have collected data from a child, we will delete it.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
Continued use of RestartWorks after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using RestartWorks and cancel your account.
By You: You may cancel your account at any time from your account settings.
By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. We will provide notice when reasonably possible.
Upon termination, your access to RestartWorks will end. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., to prevent fraud).
Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Contra Costa County, California.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Discovery Coaching, LLC regarding RestartWorks.
No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms. We may assign them without restriction.
